This little ficlet has been sitting on my harddrive for a while with no where to go. I was going to trash it, but then I rewatched a season 1 episode of The West Wing where CJ Cregg talked about Friday being "take out the trash day" (or something to that effect). And for some reason I thought of this fic. Not that it's trash, this is my writing at its most lyrical, ethereal ... long winded. But I enjoyed re-reading it, so I thought I'd post it anyway.
Enjoy!
Title: "Stolen Moments: Moment Two, Snowflakes"
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Peter/Claire (canon)
Summary: Can moments stolen between shifting pieces of two lives ever make up for a lifetime of longing?
Spoilers: AU from 1.19 .07%
Disclaimer: Nothing is mine, just borrowing. All NBC’s and Tim Kring’s. Please don’t sue!
LJ Disclaimer: Situations depicted in this story is entirely fictional and should not be taken to promote any illegal or morally ambiguous activies.
Author’s Notes: Moment One was inspired by the Peter/Claire scene in 1.19 .07%, in which Claire tearfully confesses. "I didn't even get to know you." For some reason that got my mind going, about the nature of their connection. Not necessarily definable as lovers, or uncle/niece, or family, or friends. Moment Two is more of the same.
