Realised I haven't updated this story in a while, so here's something! I'm posting this in two parts because - yep, you guessed it - it's an enormous (lengthy) chapter. 

I'm also slightly peeved that once again, I seemed to have unwittingly broke into Tim Kring's crack stash, and some of the spoilers I'm reading mesh with where this story is going, and it be an utter coicidence. I'd be depressed at my lack of originality but for someone (and I think it was dragonydreams  ) reminding me that perhaps this a good thing, in that my "style" is so in keeping with the show itself. Yeah, that's a positive way to look at it. ;-)

Hmmm. Anyways. This story is heading in its home stretch. I just need the time to write it all out - which is a harder thing to organise than you'd think.

Feeling a little sorry for myself as I got home just after midnight ... from work. Gah. I'm a little bummed because I wrote Chapter Seven a couple of weeks ago, which is good. But it's got distinct similarities with 1.17 Company Man, and it's a little ... hmmm. I don't know. Even though I'm writing fanfic (and therefore "borrowing" characters that aren't mine), strictly my stories are sort of mine and it's like ... well, the show got in there first. Even though I wrote it two weeks ago. But then, I suppose they had Company Man written and prepped a significant amount of time before it aired, which means that ... Technically ... Chapter Seven isn't all that original? 

Does that even make any sort of sense? I'm tired and exhausted, and I haven't even prepared for a one hour training session tomorrow. I need to read legislation and Explanatory Memorandums and a 40 page brief of the most boring law ever - Taxation of Financial Arrangements 2007 (TOFA Tranches 3 and 4). I bet that doesn't mean the slightest thing to anyone (including me)!

OK, just wallowing in self pity now. Off to read up on boring legislation some more ...
